WHO ARE WE ?
The non-profit organization La Pangée was born from a citizen-led, cultural, and social initiative. Based in Bordeaux and operating at the metropolitan, regional, and European levels, it works to strengthen social bonds, celebrate diversity, and mobilize identities and knowledge. Pangée operates through participatory projects designed as spaces for encounter, transmission, and creation. It coordinates events, workshops, and intercultural projects that foster exchange and mutual support among people from diverse backgrounds.
At the heart of our activities, the festival la Voie des Peuples embodies this dynamic. Each edition highlights the cultures of a different people, drawing on local communities and fostering collective co-creation. Like an echo of nomadic peoples, our events move from place to place, transforming each space into a territory of encounters and discoveries.
Beyond cultural and artistic events, la Pangée works daily to support organizations, bolster local initiatives, and connect those who promote diversity while respecting cultural rights. We firmly believe in the necessity of inter-association cooperation and strive to develop networking and resource-sharing strategies. For these reasons, la Pangée has joined RADSI (Regional Network for Development and International Solidarity) and RIM (Network of Independent Music Professionals). Since November 2025, the association has also benefited from the support of IFAID consultants regarding the social and economic model of our organization.
These values of sharing and collaboration stem from our cultures, which are treasures to be celebrated, shared, and passed on. Each of our actions is conceived as a dialogue, a bridge between different worlds where everyone has a role to play. So, if you would like to participate, exchange ideas, or join us, please contact us!
The association is rapidly growing and simultaneously faces major economic challenges. La Pangée needs public support to sustain its projects, and you can participate by joining the association and embracing its values.

WHY LA PANGÉE?
Hundreds of millions of years ago, Pangaea was a vast continent where all the lands of the world were joined together. Then, under the effect of time and terrestrial movements, it fragmented to form the world as we know it today.
The world is alive, constantly evolving; the landmasses continue to drift and will eventually coalesce into a new supercontinent in several hundred million years. The precise scenario of this future Pangaea (Novopangea, Pangea Proxima, Amasia…) remains uncertain but inspires our association. This geological narrative is a metaphor for our commitment: to reconnect what seems distant, to foster encounters, to build bridges between cultures, and to imagine, together, a future in symbiosis with the living world.
